EVERETT – A Lynnwood man was listed in serious condition Saturday after a two-car collision Friday night on Highway 99 near the Mukilteo Speedway. Mark Mantooth, 21, pulled out of a parking lot and was struck by a vehicle being driven north on Highway 99 by a 15-year-old Everett girl, according to the State Patrol. The accident occurred around 11:15 p.m. Mantooth was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, while Martinez was transported to Stevens Hospital, according to the State Patrol. Martinez’s condition was not available Saturday.
Three people were injured Saturday when the car they were riding in went off U.S. 2 and struck a power pole, the State Patrol reported. The driver, Joseph Lyn, 61, of Redmond, and his two passengers, Jennifer Lyn, 35, and Miika Mantyvaara, 33, both of Redmond, were listed in stable condition at Valley General Hospital, the nursing supervisor said. Lyn was driving west when his car left the road, striking the pole at the Skykomish River junction, troopers said.
