Man injured in rear-end collision in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD — A 45-year-old man was seriously injured Monday in a car accident along Highway 99.

The accident was reported about 3:50 p.m. in the 21300 block of the highway, said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The crash appeared to be a rear-end collision involving three cars, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
