EDMONDS — The Snohomish County Medical Examiner has identified a man who died after being struck by a train near Edmonds Sept. 8 as Timmy M. Givan of Seattle.
Givan, 31, was found on the train tracks early that morning near Point Wells Road and Richmond Beach Drive. He died of blunt-force injuries. A determination of his manner of death is pending.
Detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes and Collision Investigation units were called to the scene. Detectives believe Givan was likely hanging onto the train before falling onto the tracks.
“There does not appear to be any evidence of foul play,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release last week.
