Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman Monday they say embezzled about $30,000 from Zion Lutheran School.

Seattle: Woman struck and killed by van
An Arlington woman who was struck and killed by a van in downtown Seattle on Friday had been a longtime employee for the Everett Police Department.
Amelia Gonzales, 46, worked as an administrative assistant for 15 years in Everett before taking a job with the King County Sheriff’s Office.
Gonzales was on her way to work at the sheriff’s office about 6:30 a.m. Friday. She was on the sidewalk, waiting to cross the street to the King County Courthouse when she was hit by a van, Seattle police spokesman Sean Whitcomb said.
The driver, 45, was backing out of a service alley alongside the courthouse. “Evidently he didn’t see her,” Whitcomb said.
Gonzales died of head injuries, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office reported. Seattle police are investigating.
