DARRINGTON — One man was killed Monday night near the intersection of N. Sauk River Road and Sauk Prairie Road, about four miles north of Darrington.
The man, 42, of Darrington, was driving a pickup truck and appears to have left the road, said trooper Keith Leary with the Washington State Patrol.
The man was reportedly the only person involved in the crash. Investigators late Monday night were unsure of the cause of the crash.
The collision occurred just before 4 p.m., Leary said. Troopers from Snohomish and Skagit counties were still on scene around 9 p.m., partly due to the bad road conditions in the area.
