MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Officials have identified a man who was killed in a crash on I-5 near Mountlake Terrace on Sunday night as Magarbi M. Matthew, 22, of Bremerton.
Matthew was a sailor assigned to the USS Nimitz, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Police believe he lost control of his Honda Accord and struck a tanker trailer, which rolled onto the Honda.
The freeway was closed for about seven hours after the 11:15 p.m crash. The tanker had been carrying 7,000 pounds of liquid nitrogen.
