KIRKLAND — Kirkland police say a man walked out of a hospital and assaulted five people within 30 minutes of his departure.
KING-TV reported that the 20-year-old suspect walked away from Evergreen Hospital on Monday and minutes later police received a call saying the man had punched a neighbor.
Police say the man then stole a gardening pitchfork and assaulted others. Officers found him collapsed in a cul-de-sac, bleeding and unconscious.
The suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center. He had been at Evergreen Hospital for an issue related to drugs.
Officials say none of the victims’ injuries were serious.
