SNOHOMISH – A 55-year-old man was rescued from Lake Roesiger on Saturday after his boat capsized.
The man was wearing a life jacket and was pulled from the water about 1 p.m. by two Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies who were patrolling the lake on personal watercraft, sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
The life vest likely saved the man’s life, she said. The man was not a strong swimmer, Hover said, and water temperatures in area lakes remain cold despite recent sunny and warm days.
The deputies are part of the sheriff’s Marine Services Unit.
Anyone enjoying the region’s waterways in boats or on the shore is strongly encouraged to wear a life jacket.
