MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A man told police he was shot in the leg at a party late Monday in Mountlake Terrace, but the details are hazy.
The man, 19, showed up at Northwest Hospital in Seattle with a gunshot wound. At first police were told the shooting was at a McDonald’s in Shoreline, but early Tuesday the man disclosed he was actually shot at party in Mountlake Terrace, Cmdr. Mike Haynes said.
He reported he arrived at a home around 8 p.m., and at some point there was a fight and he was shot, according to what he told officers. The man was under heavy sedation, so police struggled to get details.
The location of the party, for example, wasn’t clear.
A detective plans to follow up with the man when he’s more coherent. He was transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. His injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.
