ORTING — A man accused of randomly shooting through a crowd at a house party has been sentenced.
The News Tribune Monday Judge G. Helen Whitener gave Isaiah Bickham seven years, nine months in prison for wounding a man at a party on Jan. 29, 2016.
Prosecutors say one of the bullets Bickham indiscriminately fired went through another man’s chest and into his arm.
Bickham pleaded guilty last month to second-degree assault, felony harassment, driving under the influence, being a minor drunk in public, failing to have an ignition interlock device and driving with a suspended license.
According to charging papers, Bickham fired an estimated 20 shots.
Soon after the shooting, Bickham nearly crashed his truck into a state trooper’s vehicle.
