EVERETT — A worker was seriously injured Friday afternoon in an industrial accident at Boeing’s Everett plant.
The man was working at the site for a subcontractor of Schuchart, a construction company, Boeing spokesman Wayne Barringer said. The man was first treated by Boeing’s emergency medical team.
Everett Fire Department paramedics were called out just after 1:30 p.m., city spokeswoman Kate Reardon said. The man was taken by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The man’s age and the extent of his injuries weren’t immediately available.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation by Boeing, Barringer said.
Boeing declined to name the man, referring all further inquiries to a Schuchart spokesman. The spokesman wasn’t available after-hours on Friday.
