LYNNWOOD — A man was in critical condition Monday after he shot himself during a traffic stop late on Sunday.
A Lynnwood police officer about 11:30 p.m. tried to pull over a Chrysler Crossfire sports car traveling along Highway 99. The Everett Police Department issued a request to locate the car because the driver was suicidal.
The driver, 33, of Everett, continued for several blocks, then pulled into a parking lot in the 20500 block of Highway 99 and walked out of the car. He used a gun to shoot himself in the head.
Medics rushed him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was in critical condition on Monday morning.
