Man shot, killed in Bothell area on Friday afternoon

BOTHELL — Major crimes detectives with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office were investigating a fatal shooting in unincorporated Bothell on Friday afternoon.

The shooting was reported in a residential neighborhood shortly after 3 p.m. in the area of 10th Place W and 198th Place SE, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.

“We have no identified suspect at this point, but we are doing a search of the area,” Ireton said.

Detectives were gathering witness statements from people who knew the victim, Ireton said.

The man is believed to be 36. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner will be asked to confirm his identity and determine the cause and manner of death.
