SEATTLE — Police say a man was shot outside his northeast Seattle apartment Tuesday morning in a targeted attack by a gunman who fled in a getaway car.
Witnesses told KOMO the victim had left his apartment in the Ravenna neighborhood when the gunman approached and fired five shots. The victim was hit at least twice. Fire department medics took him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in critical condition.
Police spokesman Sean Whitcomb said the gunman jumped in a waiting car and sped off.
Whitcomb said investigators believe it was a targeted attack and there is no danger to the neighborhood.
