EVERETT — A 33-year-old man was stabbed and died and another man was injured after a confrontation in a parking lot south of Everett Sunday night.
A spat between two groups of girls escalated to threats of bringing adults into the fray, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. Three men and several girls around 9 p.m. drove to an apartment complex in the 13000 block of Meridian Avenue South, outside of Everett. Two men got out of the vehicle and argued with the victims, then a fight began and a man stabbed the 33-year-old and drove away. The other victim, 35, had a cut near his eye, which was treated there.
Emergency responders took the 33-year-old man to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, where he died.
The investigation was ongoing and detectives were trying to identify the suspects.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the man as well as determine the cause and manner of death.
