SHORELINE — A man suspected in a Mountlake Terrace bank robbery last month was arrested Tuesday in connection with similar holdups.
King County sheriff’s deputies arrested a suspected bank robber Tuesday night, Sgt. John Urquhart said. Investigators believe he was responsible for two bank robberies on June 8, one in Shoreline and one in Milton.
The week before, on May 31, a man robbed HomeStreet Bank on 66th Avenue W. in Mountlake Terrace. He had passed a bank employee a note implying that he had a gun.
The man in the Mountlake Terrace bank robbery is believed to be the same one picked up in the King County investigation, Mountlake Terrace police Cmdr. Doug Hansen said.
Mountlake Terrace police worked in conjunction with the sheriff’s investigators, he said.
