ASTORIA, Ore. — Police say a man with mental health issues cut himself with a saw at a bank in Astoria.
Deputy Chief Eric Halverson says the man plugged in the saw after entering the bank Thursday and sliced his wrist.
The chief gave credit to the bank employees and customers who provided aid before the ambulance arrived.
The Daily Astorian reports that no criminal charges are expected.
Halverson says he just hopes the man gets the physical and mental help he needs.
