MARYSVILLE— A 25-foot tall red, white and blue American eagle balloon was stolen Friday night from Olympic Ford in Marysville.
The balloon, used to welcome home American troops, was on display at Olympic Ford during a promotion.
"It was scheduled to be at the Everett Mall to welcome home American troops April 3, but now it’s gone," said Jack Herring, general sales manager at Olympic Ford.
"Someone stole the pump we use to keep it inflated, cut the straps and stole the balloon," he said.
The balloon is worth about $7,000, Herring said. Olympic Ford rented it from Star Promotions.
"We’d like to have it returned so others in the community can benefit from it," he said.
