MARYSVILLE — Police have recovered more than 60 stolen bicycles in Marysville, and they’re asking for help finding the owners.
Marysville police were investigating neighbors’ complaints of criminal activity on Thursday night in the 5200 block of 81st Place NE, Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux said.
Officers saw two motorcycles at a house that were believed to be stolen. They also saw a unique and expensive Olympic-style racing bike that had been reported stolen a few weeks before. That bike alone was worth more than $7,000.
Police obtained a judge’s permission to search the house. They found another 61 bicycles in the yard and the garage, along with stolen guns and a stolen Coleman camping trailer.
One man was booked for investigation of possessing stolen property. The investigation continues.
The stolen bicycles include mountain bikes, touring bikes and high-end road bikes.
“We are hoping to return as many of the stolen bicycles as possible to their rightful owners,” Lt. Mark Thomas said Monday.

People can schedule appointments to view the bikes in person by contacting officer Brad Smith at bsmith@marysvillewa.gov or 360-363-8387. It will be easier to return the bike if victims have documentation, such as receipts, serial numbers, photographs and police reports.
Viewing appointments are planned on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for the next three weeks.
