MARYSVILLE — About 100 Marysville residents were without water after a line break Friday at Grove Street and 47th Avenue NE.
“The water main repair is complete and service will be restored within 1-2 hours,” city spokesperson Connie Mennie said by text Saturday morning.
Crews overnight replaced a 6-foot section of the 22-inch water main, she said. Around 9:40 a.m. Saturday, the city notified customers that repairs had been completed and water service was being restored.
The break affected customers from the 1800 block of 47th Avenue NE to 51st Avenue NE. The area is several blocks from State Avenue.
A scanner report around 5 p.m. Friday at 47th Avenue NE and Grove Street reported: “Water coming up from the ground, flooding the whole intersection.”
The city on Friday advised residents on X: “If you have cloudy or brown water, run cold tap water until it clears.’
Streets in the Grove Street vicinity between 44th Avenue NE and 49th Drive NE, and 47th Avenue NE between 76th Street NE and 10th Street are closed this weekend for repairs. Use alternate routes.
