Community Transit named Jim Sutton, of Marysville, its Smart Commuter for the third quarter of 2017. Sutton commutes to his job at Aviation Technical Services in south Everett by carpooling with his wife, who works nearby. Combining their commute saves them 8,586 drive-alone miles and more than $1,500 per year.
Meanwhile, David Wilcox, of Port Orchard, was honored as the quarter’s Curb the Congestion Champion for commuting by vanpool to Naval Station Everett.
The Smart Commuter Rewards and Curb the Congestion programs offer incentives for ditching the drive-alone commute. Learn more at www.communitytransit.org/programs/choice-connections.
