Marysville man airlifted to Seattle after motorcycle crash

He was riding near Lake Cavanaugh in Skagit County when another motorcyclist pulled in front of him.

LAKE CAVANAUGH — A 60-year-old Marysville motorcyclist was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after a crash Saturday near Lake Cavanaugh.

He was riding northbound on Lake Cavanaugh Road at 5:31 p.m. when he tried to pass another motorcycle that was on the shoulder. That rider, a 29-year-old Mount Vernon man, turned in front of the Marysville man and they collided, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The Mount Vernon man had minor injuries and was treated at Skagit Valley Hospital.

Improper lane use was the cause of the crash, according to the Washington State Patrol.
