MARYSVILLE — A Marysville child was hurt Tuesday morning after being hit by a car while cycling.
The accident occurred about 7:15 a.m. near the intersection of 88th Street NE and State Avenue, Marysville police Lt. Jeff Goldman said.
The child apparently was riding a bike to school, Goldman said. The middle school-aged child was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
Many area schools opened Tuesday and police are asking drivers to be alert for children on the roads.
“Please be aware children will be traveling to and from their designated schools in the morning and afternoon hours,” Goldman said.
Anyone with information about Tuesday morning’s collision is asked to call Marysville police at 360-363-8300.
