MARYSVILLE — A Marysville man died Saturday afternoon after his motorcycle collided with a car.
The accident happened about 3:40 p.m. in the intersection of 152nd Street NE and 67th Avenue NE in the Marysville area.
Investigators say that motorcyclist was attempting to pass another car but had to get back in his lane of travel to avoid an oncoming vehicle.
When he returned to his lane he collided with a vehicle that had stopped to make a left hand turn onto 152nd Street NE, according to Snohomish County sheriff’s Lt. Brent Speyer.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
His identity wasn’t released Saturday.
The driver of the car was not seriously injured.
Detectives are investigating whether speed was a factor in the collision.
No criminal charges are expected to be filed, Speyer said.
