Marysville pedestrian struck by car, hospitalized

MARYSVILLE — A young man was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening after he was struck by a car while crossing a road in Marysville.

The accident occurred just after 5 p.m. in the area of 100th Street NE and 59th Drive NE.

The Marysville man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. He had hip injuries that were not considered life threatening.

Marysville police said he was wearing all dark clothing when the accident occurred.

The driver was reported to be cooperating with investigators. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the accident, police wrote in a press release.
