MARYSVILLE — A parking space was dedicated last week for families’ use at the Marysville Armed Forces Reserve Center to honor and recognize their sacrifices and to make sure they always have a space available when they use the center’s services.
The center at 13613 40th Ave. NE is one of 19 Reserve facilities nationwide with Survivor Outreach Services offices.
“We want to extend support to families both before and after a crisis by maximizing cooperation between government and non-government agencies,” said Dan Forsberg, a support coordinator with the office, said in a press release. “We want to make sure survivors receive all benefits to which they are entitled, and encourage our survivors to remain an integral part of the Army family for as long as they desire.”
Survivor Outreach Services is an Army-wide program that provides comprehensive support services to survivors of deceased soldiers. Members of the 364th Expeditionary Sustainment Command are headquartered at the center.
