SULTAN — A Marysville woman died on Mother’s Day in a crash at a popular off-road vehicle site in east Snohomish County.
The woman, 40, was riding a quad runner with her 20-year-old daughter at Reiter Pit, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
The woman reportedly swerved to miss a pothole, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a large tree. The woman sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Her daughter was received a broken collarbone in the crash and was treated at an area hospital, Hover said.
Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate.
