MARYSVILLE – Police will have a community meeting about a registered sex offender moving into the 13800 block of 30th Avenue W.
Patrick Kevin Gibson, 54, was released late last month from a California federal prison, where he had been serving time for bank robbery. Gibson has a long criminal history including convictions for rape and kidnapping.
In 1978, he raped a waitress in Oregon after robbing the restaurant where she worked. He was sentenced to 20 years in Nevada after robbing a gas station, kidnapping two teenagers and sexually assaulting the 19-year-old woman, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Gibson is a level three registered sex offender, meaning police believe there is a high risk that Gibson will reoffend.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Marshall Elementary School, 4407 116th St. NE, Marysville. Anyone with questions is asked to call 425-388-3324.
