EVERETT — A masked gunman robbed a bank in south Everett just before noon Tuesday.
The man, dressed in black and wearing a black ski mask, told everyone in the bank to get down on the floor. He then demanded money and ran away, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said. The suspect had a silver-plated handgun.
The robbery occurred at the First Security Bank in the 11100 block of Evergreen Way, he said. The same bank was robbed a few weeks ago.
It’s too early to know if the robberies are linked.
A Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy and police dog were in the area, but were unable to track the man.
The suspect is described as about 6 feet tall, weighing about 190 pounds, Goetz said.
Everett’s major crime unit is working with the FBI to investigate.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Everett Police tip line at 425-257-8450.
