Meeting today in Mountlake Terrace regarding sex offender

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Officials here are planning an informational meeting today about a convicted sex offender who will be living in the 21500 Block of 52nd Avenue West.

The meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Mountlake Terrace Elementary School gymnasium at 22001 52nd Avenue West.

The offender, Kevin S. Jones, has lived in Mountlake Terrace for several years, officials said Tuesday. Jones is a Level III offender, the level considered most likely to reoffend. He was convicted in 1983 of second-degree attempted rape of a child, among other crimes.

Jones is described as 58, 6-foot-3 and 280 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes.
