Marlin French, who spent about three decades working as a local tow-truck driver, was driving home Sept. 26 when his pickup was hit by a speeding car. The driver of the car also died. Sharon French places flowers at a memorial on Cathcart Way for her husband, Marlin "Duke" French, 60, who died Friday at a Seattle hospital. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reported that the car was racing with another vehicle before slamming into French’s truck.
About 50 tow-truck drivers, along with friends and family, drive in a procession from Whiteside Towing in Clearview to the crash site on Cathcart Way, and then to a memorial service at an Everett church.
