SPOKANE — A memorial service was scheduled Monday in Spokane for a Marine killed in Afghanistan.
The 22-year-old Spokane man, Sgt. Jacob M. Hess, died Jan. 1 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province.
KREM-TV reported the service was set for 1 p.m. at Life Center Foursquare Church.
Hess was assigned to an aviation logistics squadron based at Camp Lejeune, N.C.
