A Coast Guard helicopter rescued two men from atop their capsized boat in Skagit Bay on Sunday afternoon.
The men used a cell phone to call Skagit County 911 sometime before 3 p.m. and reported their boat was taking on water, but the call was lost.
The helicopter flew from Port Angeles, located the men and hoisted them off of the overturned boat around 3:30 p.m., Coast Guard Lt. Matthew Michaelis said. A dog sailing with the men was not found.
The men were taken to a Bellingham hospital and were expected to recover.
