SPOKANE — Michael Ormsby has been sworn-in as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Washington.
Ormsby was nominated by President Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Sept. 29. He was sworn in Friday, replacing Bush appointee James McDevitt as the top federal lawyer in the region.
Ormsby had been a partner at K&L Gates, LLP since 1988. He has also served on the Spokane School Board and the Eastern Washington University Board of Trustees.
