SEATTLE — Federal agents investigating what they describe as a Midwestern Christian militia bent on attacking police said they found Mapquest directions to a Washington state address at one member’s home.
It turns out the man and his wife used to live in Tukwila, south of Seattle.
Directions to an apartment complex at 5650 S. 152nd St. in Tukwila were found at the home of Kristopher T. Sickles in Sandusky, Ohio, when agents raided the homes of alleged members of the group. Court documents said that at the various homes agents found drugs, weapons and gas masks.
The directions raised questions about a potential Washington connection to the case, but Sickles’ wife, Kelly, told The Associated Press it’s just because the couple rented the apartment from 2004 to 2005, when they had a baby and moved back closer to relatives in Ohio.
Kelly Sickles said she wishes the couple had stayed in Tukwila, because then maybe her husband would never have met the other defendants in the case.
