Lacey-Genovese
Shannon Lacey and Charles Genovese, both of Lake Stevens, are planning a wedding for Sept. 25 in Arlington.
The bride’s parents are Doug and Laura Lacey of Marysville and Doug McNall and Renee Anderson of Everett.
The groom’s parents are Victor Genovese of Reno, Nev., and Fred and Ki Hwa Near of Brinnon, Wash.
The couple met through mutual friends nearly 10 years ago. After three years of dating, Genovese surprised Lacey with a Napa Valley and San Francisco weekend getaway, where he proposed. The ring he had made specially for Lacey was just her style.
The bride has worked at the Tulalip casino for 10 years, while also practicing as an esthetician.
The groom works as a field service engineer for a government contractor.
The couple plan to live in Snohomish County and start a family soon after they wed.
The wedding is planned in Arlington, and the couple want to honeymoon in Costa Rica.
Ruijters-Burke
Brianna Ruijters of Stanwood and Jared Burke of Camano Island plan to get married Friday in Arlington.
The bride’s parents are Franz and Kim Ruijters, and the groom’s parents are Pat and Darlene Burke.
The bride and groom graduated from Stanwood High School.
