Hoover and Robertson

Amanda Hoover and Brett Robertson of Seattle are planning an Oct. 10 wedding in Kauai, Hawaii.

The bride’s parents are Mike and Diane Hoover of Mukilteo. The groom’s parents are Andy Robertson of Queensland, Australia and Margaret McFadgeon of New South Wales, Australia.

Robertson is from Sydney, Australia and has lived in Seattle since March 2007. He is a financial controller for a medical technologies company.

Hoover is a Seattle native who works as an account manager at a local ad agency.

The couple met in 2007 at a Mariners game. Robertson proposed in downtown Sydney on Nov. 30, 2009.

They enjoy snow sports, hiking, camping, dancing, and exploring all Seattle’s local restaurants and other haunts while documenting them on their Date Night Blog, www.BrettandMandy DateNight.com.
