OSO — A crash involving an Arlington school bus shut down Highway 530 for several hours Friday afternoon.
No one was seriously hurt in the crash.
The accident happened about 3:30 p.m. near Whitman Road. A Dodge Viper crossed the center line and smashed into the left side of the bus, Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said.
The bus was loaded with four students from Post Middle School. One student, 11, sustained a bloody nose. The bus driver, 44, hurt her elbow.
The other driver, 21, of Arlington told police he didn’t know why he crossed the center line, Leary said. He and his passenger, 21, of Marysville, were taken to a hospital. Their injuries weren’t believed to be life-threatening.
Both vehicles were totaled.
Investigators don’t believe alcohol or drugs played a part in the crash.
