A small airplane made an emergency landing at Lochsloy Fields outside Granite Falls on Saturday afternoon, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said.
A 48-year-old man and his two daughters, ages 8 and 15, were in the single-engine Stinson when it experienced engine trouble about 2 p.m., sheriff’s Lt. Rob Palmer said. One the daughters had an abrasion, but didn’t need to go to the hospital.
The 1950s-era plane was expected to remain overnight in the fields on 147th Avenue NE, Palmer said. It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the engine to fail. The Federal Aviation Administration was investigating.
