GOLD BAR – A small earthquake shook homes around Gold Bar Tuesday afternoon.
A magnitude 2.5 quake centered about five miles north of May Creek occurred at 2:40 p.m., according to a report from the University of Washington’s Dept. of Earth and Space Sciences.
The quake was centered about 9 miles below the ground.
Joe Petron of Gold Bar said he felt the quake and saw furniture in his home jump about a quarter of an inch.
It felt the quake lasted a few seconds, he said.
