CHEHALIS — The Lewis County sheriff’s office says the family of a missing mushroom hunter found his body Wednesday near Packwood.
The sheriff’s office says the 68-year-old Auburn man, Saykham Tiansevilay, apparently slid about 40 feet down a steep embankment and may have suffered from hypothermia.
He failed to return Sept. 28 from a mushroom hunting trip in a rugged area off a Forest Service road. Deputies and dozens of volunteers with dogs searched the area four days without success.
