MONROE — Neighbors living near Stanton Meadows Park may have to wait another month to find out if a cell phone tower will be built near their homes.
The City Council on Tuesday sent the issue back to hearing examiner John Galt, who originally approved the 65-foot-tall tower.
T-Mobile wants to build the tower in an industrial area next to Stanton Meadows Park. Residents living nearby have objected. The council needs to decide if the tower is allowed by the code.
The council delayed its decision to gather more information on landscaping issues that weren’t fully addressed by Galt’s original report. A decision by the council is expected in about a month.
