MONROE — The Monroe Police Department has released sketches of two men suspected of robbing a payday-lending business May 30.
The men held up the Check into Cash on the 19000 block of Lenton Place SE, Monroe police said. Witnesses described both robbers as white and in their mid- to late-20s.
One was 6 feet 1 to 6 feet 2 inches tall with a medium build and short, dark, spiky hair. He wore a black silk business suit and a blue Âbutton-up shirt with thin white stripes. Hanging around his neck was a laminated 4-by-4-inch card with the letters “FBI” on it.
The second man was 6 feet or 6 foot 1 inch tall with a stocky build. He wore a dark business suit and carried a small handgun. He also had a square notebook-style briefcase.
Both men spoke English with an accent and conversed in a foreign language which an employee believed to be Russian, police said.
