A young mother from Kenmore was devastated when someone stole her car in Seattle last month. Her car was found “chopped up” in Monroe on Oct. 28, police officials said. The only salvageable parts were the engine and the bumpers.
Four people from around the county were arrested in connection with the theft, Monroe police said.
On Monday, the city of Monroe presented the woman with a special present – a new car, money for the registration and a gas gift card.
The young mother, who police declined to name, was extremely grateful for the helping hand, officials said. She is pictured to the right.
