MONROE — A 17-year-old who fell off a moving vehicle early Friday and suffered a head injury remains in the intensive care unit at a Seattle hospital.
His condition is improving, Monroe police spokeswoman Debbie Willis said Tuesday.
The boy was taken to Harborview Medical Center on Friday and was in critical condition after falling from the running board of a GMC Suburban, she said.
Two teens, both 17, were standing on the running board about 2:20 a.m. on Wales Street just east of Van Avenue when the driver, a Monroe boy, 17, hit the brakes, she said.
One of the boys fell and suffered a serious head injury. He was rushed to the Seattle trauma center.
No one else was hurt.
Police are investigating the incident and expect to forward charges to the Snohomish County prosecutors office, Willis said.
