EVERETT — Police are asking for help tracking down a man who assaulted a woman near Silver Lake on Saturday night.
Anyone who was in the area of 19th Avenue SE and 35th Avenue SE that evening, including walkers, drivers and bicyclists, is asked to contact detectives at 425-388-3845. Tips can be anonymous.
The man, who was armed, forced his way into a stranger’s apartment along 28th Drive SE, said Shari Ireton, a spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The victim, a 23-year-old woman, suffered undisclosed injuries before she got away.
The man is described as white and in his 20s or 30s. He wore a mask, a shirt with red and black stripes, and jeans. He had a cast on his right arm.
Additional details about what happened were not made public Tuesday.
