SEATTLE — The National Weather Service says another wet weather system moving into the Northwest will bring rain Monday night and Tuesday and showers for the rest of the week across Washington.
But forecasters say it may not be as heavy as it first appeared and they have dropped the flood watch for parts of Western Washington — Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Clallam, Whatcom, Skagit and Thurston counties. A flood watch remains in effect through Tuesday afternoon in Snohomish, King, Pierce and Mason counties.
Heavy snow is possible in the mountains over 4,000 feet Monday night.
In Eastern Washington, forecasters also expect a cool, wet weather pattern for much of the week.
Drier, milder weather conditions are forecast to begin Friday and continue through the weekend.
