VANCOUVER, Wash. — A Vancouver man has been sentenced to more than 27 years in prison for two home-invasion robberies last year, including one in which a woman was bound and beaten.
The Columbian reported that Adam Lewis, 26, tried Friday to withdraw his earlier guilty pleas, saying he hadn’t known that he might not receive credit for time served. He also asked for a new court-appointed lawyer.
Superior Court Judge Dan Stahnke denied both requests — but did give Lewis credit for time served. That means he has about 26 years left.
The prosecution had argued that Lewis wasn’t eligible for time served credit because he was serving four years on a separate crime of failure to register as a sex offender while he awaited sentencing in the robberies.
