MOSES LAKE — Air crews from Spokane’s Fairchild Air Force Base may temporarily relocate to Moses Lake while construction is performed on Fairchild’s runways.
A base spokesman said Fairchild officials are still awaiting funding for the project. But they are starting to look for temporary homes for Fairchild’s KC-135 air tankers.
The Columbia Basin Herald reported that the Air Force is considering the Port of Moses Lake, which is a former base, plus March Air Force Base in California, as candidates.
