EPHRATA — Police say a 14-year-old Moses Lake boy shot his parents because he was angry at being grounded for being tardy at school.
KXLY reported that bail was set Monday at $500,000 for Nathon Brooks. Prosecutors are seeking to try him as an adult on attempted murder charges.
The Columbia Basin Herald reported that he’s accused of shooting his parents, Jonothan and Elizabeth Brooks, in the head Friday in their bedroom. Both are hospitalized.
